When this receiver arrived it had broken through the box in 2 places, and was sticking out. As a result of the shipping, it was bent, and the holes did not line up, so like some others have explained, I had to use a 2x4 and a bottle jack to bend it back into shape. I recommend using a measuring tape to keep track of how far you are expanding the receiver. I had to bend one side of it 1/2" and the other side 1/4" to make the holes line up, and it saved time knowing exactly how far I had to bend it without needing to hold it under the car to re-check.
