Curt trailer hitches are shipped in a box that is too large for the hitch with no packing materials at all. The hitch is left to bounce around in the box during shipping. This resulted in one hitch arriving so bent that it was unable to be mounted to the vehicle. The second hitch came scratched up. I opted to keep the hitch that was scratched because I do not feel Curt would have been able to supply me with a defect free product due to their sub-par packaging methods.
