We accidentally bought this hitch which is designed to fit newer accords rather than our year. After holding up the hitch to the car, we found out that the hitch lined up correctly on the frame but was short of the existing pre-drilled holes. So first, we unhooked the muffler and moved it to the side to gain access to the frame on the passengers side. Then, we marked and drilled new holes with a 7/16" drill bit in the frame on each side.Then, the access hole was too small of fit the plate and bolt through it.
